Our Private Pay Model
We operate exclusively as a Private Pay (Self-Pay) Practice. We do not contract with insurance panels or bill insurance companies directly.
Total Confidentiality
Insurance companies require clinical session notes, treatment plans, and personal details to justify reimbursement. Self-pay guarantees your private conversations remain strictly confidential between you and your therapist.
No Mandatory Diagnosis
In order for insurance to cover therapy, a therapist is mandated to assign a permanent psychiatric diagnosis (e.g., Major Depressive Disorder). Many couples simply desire relational growth without receiving a permanent medical record label.
Uncompromised Quality
Without insurance company limits on session frequency, duration, or therapy format, we collaboratively decide how often and how long we meet based strictly on what your relationship needs.
Out-of-Network Benefits & Superbills
If you have out-of-network benefits through your health insurance, we can provide you with a monthly itemized receipt (Superbill) upon request, which you may submit to your insurer for potential reimbursement.
Tip: We encourage you to call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask: "Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits, and what is my out-of-network deductible?"
Notice: Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under the federal No Surprises Act (H.R. 133), healthcare providers must provide clients who are uninsured or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
- You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.
- Make sure your healthcare provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.
- Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
